List of Members
Our members come from many different areas including the universities, religious organizations and politics, as well as many other professions and trades. They are united in their concern about the problem of world poverty and have each made our pledge to give at least 10% of their income to where they think it will do the most to eliminate poverty in the developing world.
We currently have 317 members, from 17 countries, who together have pledged more than 126 million dollars towards this end.

A note to charities: we ask all of our members to publicly list their names in order to maximize the impact we can have in fighting poverty. This list is given in good faith and we trust that it will not be used to approach our members for funding purposes. Requests should instead be sent directly to Giving What We Can, where we will analyze the effectiveness of the charity and report to our members. Given their dedication to effective aid, our members are highly unlikely to respond to unsolicited requests anyway.
