Photo Drive

To help build awareness about effective giving and pledging to give, some groups run photo drives on social media.

During a photo drive, group members who have pledged create a social post about it and then the group posts a series of these photos/quotes on its social channels as frequently as possible during the pledge drive. You can use the photo drive posts to promote other upcoming events as well!

Promoting the photo drive

Depending on the size of your group, you may need to do some internal promotion of the photo drive. Send an email to all group members with a call for people who have pledged to create social posts about it, text/email individuals who you think may be particularly receptive, announce the photo drive on your social channels, etc.

Example text message: Hey, it’s (name) from (Group name)! We are running a pledge drive from [date] to [date] and we’re looking for people who have taken the pledge to write a short social post about why! I’m reaching out because I think you’d be particularly good at this – are you interested? (If so, provide them a link where they can see examples, such as the ones below. You may also find some of these templates useful but it’s probably good to have a variety of formats for a more personal feel.)
