Over 600,000 people die from malaria every year, with over 80% of deaths being children under five years old. This number is unacceptably high, especially knowing that malaria is cheap and easy to prevent.
Join us between the 19th and 25th of April in raising money for Against Malaria Foundation and Malaria Consortium, which cost-effectively prevent malaria in the places that need it the most.
The United Nations World Health Organisation organises World Malaria Day each year on April 25th and draws attention to the need for progress in combatting this disease.
Over 600,000 people died of malaria in 2021, and 247 million were made ill by the disease.
This represents an enormous disease burden that primarily affects people living in extreme poverty.
Malaria prevention is cheap and effective to prevent, and your donations will have a tangible impact on those living in at-risk areas.
It costs roughly $5 USD to provide an insecticide-treated bednet that can help shield 2 people for up to two years from malaria.
It costs roughly $7 USD to provide seasonal medicine to prevent malaria to a child in target areas.
Roughly $5000 USD will provide enough bednets or seasonal medicine doses to save someone's life.
