Philosopher Will MacAskill is a co-founder the effective altruism movement, Giving What We Can, 80,000 Hours, and The Centre for Effective Altruism, and the author of "Doing Good Better" and "Moral Uncertainty". He is an Associate Professor in Philosophy and Research Fellow at the Global Priorities Institute, University of Oxford.

His academic research focuses on the fundamentals of effective altruism - the use of evidence and reason to help others by as much as possible with our time and money, with a particular concentration on how to act given moral uncertainty.

His work has been published in "Ethics," "Mind," and "The Journal of Philosophy," as well as The Guardian, Time, and The New Yorker.
