Global CEO

About Giving What We Can:

Giving What We Can (GWWC) is on a mission to create a world in which giving effectively and significantly is a cultural norm. Founded in 2009, GWWC is best known for its 🔸10% Pledge, where over 9,000 people have committed to donating at least 10% of their lifetime income to highly effective charities. To date, GWWC pledgers have donated hundreds of millions of dollars to high-impact charities. In addition, GWWC operates a donation platform to facilitate raising funds for effective projects of other organizations, acts as a grantmaker distributing donations to impactful projects, and conducts and distributes research on effective giving to guide donors' decisions. The team is hardworking and mission-focused, and we have a culture of open, honest feedback. We’re also a friendly and optimistic bunch.

Position Overview:

We are seeking an exceptional leader to serve as the Global Chief Executive Officer of Giving What We Can. The CEO will be responsible for driving GWWC's ambitious mission forward, overseeing all aspects of the organization's global operations, and spearheading its growth and impact. Location and Travel:

This is a global remote position. We have a preference for candidates who can be directly employed by one of our core entities (our charities registered in the US, UK, or Canada), but this is not a requirement. We also have a preference for a candidate who lives near – or at least is able to regularly travel to – our core markets and key cities. We will consider applicants who require visa sponsorship. Ability to work flexible hours to coordinate with team members across different time zones is essential.

Compensation and Benefits:

Base salary is expected to begin at or above $130,000 USD, with adjustments made based on experience, seniority, and location. Read more about how we think about compensation here.
